Mya
Hey girls,
Seemed like I've disappeared from the face of the earth right? Nope, I have been on every week to check for any updates, but didn't really have the time to sit and write, sorry =(.
How's everything with everyone?
As for me, I'm still struggling to continue the renovations. We've finished the bedroom (just need some more furniture), and painted the kitchen still waiting for it to be tiled. The washroom is by far the toughest and longest process in this entire reno. At first, Alfred and I were thinking of just updating the look and fresh paint, but in the end we ended up gutting the whole entire washroom and making our own shower instead of using the unit shower. Every corner we turned, new problems arised. The original bugdet for the washroom was $1000 boy did we go over budget we're sitting at about $3000 right now. Almost finished the washroom though, thank god. Next will be the little hallway, gotta put up new drywalls and make our own built-in cabinets for the toiletry since the washroom is a tad bit too small to accommadate it. Then last but not least it'll be the living room and that shouldn't take up too much time since it just need new paint and sponging the fireplace white.
Other than the reno, i've been trying to get my butt back in school. I want to find the right career for me. Something challenging and rewarding. I'm really interested in dental hygiene and Shirley has helped me out. I have two choices, either go to George Brown or private school (which i have to pay double the amount for tuition). I will automatically be accepted to a private school as long as i have the fund. As for George Brown, it's VERY competitive, therefore my chances are slim to none. I've been researching and attended some information sessions at George Brown and I've found a solution. I'm going to take these academic upgrading courses they offer at GB, which will offer me courses on writting the entrance examination to any colleges, and since my college of choice is there as well, the guidance told me my chances are much greater. It's a stepping stone not just only to get into college but to be fully prepared. Statistics has it that 30-40% of students drop out the first semester. And I do not want to fall into that...soo i'm gonna take it a step at a time(slowly but surely). It's going to take me 6 months longer than anticipated but I REALLY WANT IT!! I hear you girls complaining about school and real jobs, and I am soooo jealousy, I have too much free time and nothing accomplish. So hopefully when i'm in school it's my turn to complain about the sh!t load of assignments hehe...humans are so hard to satisfy! LOL
Let's meet up SOON....I miss ALL you girls. And sorry about the last outting, i wished i went with you girls instead of the "album release" soooo boring!

I think counting the months would be better Shanno, there's more to count and you can see all the steps you're taking towards being debt free.
Simone has just informed me that she's coming to Waterloo this weekend! Very excited about that. Hope everyone's doing well. I've yet to find myself a coop placement for the winter so I'm not sure if I'll be in Toronto come January. I'm thinking maybe I should just go out to another province or something.

hmmm seeing that no one has blogged in a while i've decided to
so what is up with me...
well ... work is good... i got my second my pay cheque yesterday and it's nice being paid. I also go my osap bill that starts on nov 30... ahhh gotta pay them a minimum of 300 a month... which isn't too fun.. but i'm planning on paying that off assap so i'm going to increase it probably to 1000 a month just to get it off my back!
Work is going well =) Today i had my first taste of power. I was incharge of pre-screening 4 coop students and picking 2 of them to come in for interviews. And that was very excited! Although it was a fairly easy choice as to who is a yes an who is a no. But, i felt bad for the ones i didn't pick cuz they were still good candidates!
So ya, that is what's up with me!
Anywho- shirley's bday is coming up soon. we should hang out =)
bye friends!

Girls,
Just wanted to let you know, my cat Whisper died...
I would say more about it but it'll just make me break into tears again.
I'll try to let you know once my emotions have settled down.
RIP Whisper 2003-2007

Hi ladies, hope everyone's been enjoying the great weather we've been having. Guess everyone's just keeping busy with whatever they've been doing. Hope everyone enjoys their long weekends. I for one will be spending it studying, since there are a slew of tests and assignments due after the weekend. I know, profs sure know how to make a student's life miserable.
Good job on doing well in school Shirbo!
Hope you're enjoying your work Shanno!
Hope yoga is going well for you Anne and Simone!
What have you been doing Thi? Haven't heard from you in so long!
Are you still decorating Mya? When do we get to see it???
Alright girlies, have a good long weekend. Buh bye!

I finally have time to post on this blog! For the past few weeks, I've done 3 tests and 1 in class essay. As you can figure out, I was so frusturated and was practically pulling my hair out every day! (I'm almost bald) My room's a total mess and I think I see a few strands of white hair. Haha. I just did my last term test today for Chemistry. I got my results back from Math and Biology and they're both above 90% =D My essay wasn't that great, but still pulled off a B. It feels really good after seeing a good mark. Although I wrote the tests with not much confidence. Haha. After all the mad studying, it's finally long weekend! It's good to have all these crazy stress because then when the 'break' comes, I'd enjoy it more. Anyway, I'm kind of tired now, it's time to catch up on sleep. I hope you guys enjoy the sunshine and have fun over the long weekend. I know I will be enjoying every minute of it.
