Mya

Hi Girls!!!

Thi- thank you for having us at the wedding! It was a lovely event! You looked Fantabulous as always!! I can't believe you're a MRS now =). Cheers and let's get on board w/ the baby making wagon!!!!!! LOL.

Simone- I was so distraught when I heard of what you went/are going through. I hope you are doing well and I'm sure w/ positive attitude and support from everyone you will get through this hump. Please don't forget we are here for you, we're just a phone call away. Let us know when we can visit.
P.S- I'm sure you've heard but thought I tell you myself. I'm expecting, yes I'm going to be a mommy in 2012!! =)

Lisa- How's you're new vehicle and new job?

Shirley- Congrats on the new home! Is it a new development? We're still looking and in the Markham area as well. But w/ my pregnancy and house reno, the earliest I want to move is Summer of next year.

As for me, I'm putting on more weight. Gained 3 lbs last month so I've put on a totally of 6-8 lbs since being pregnant!!! My baby bump is protruding more than before, which forced me into buying some maternity items (pants/bras). My appetite is not back to normal but at least I have a slight enjoyment in eating.
I've had a lot of blood drawn from me already. I thought I was going to faint one time when the lady said she'll be withdrawing 7 large tubes of blood (I had an empty stomach), but our body is a miracle and it has it's way of functioning.
Alfred's been to every appt w/me and everything is surreal until we got to hear the baby's heart beats together. I must've teared a little...can't believe we're soon to be parents.
EXCITING NEWS!!! I felt light flutters/movements in my belly a few days ago, and the baby kick/dance more when I had the music on =).

As for house situation, We're looking to purchase a new home but moving will be after the arrival of the baby. In the mean time, I'm really considering moving in w/ my mom bc I'm so lonely at home and when the baby is born, I will at least have several helping hands. I've been going home more often and my mom is taking really good care of me. I think pregnancy hormones play a part in my emotions and making me scatter brain as well.

Shirley

I guess it's time for me to post an update on my oh-so-boring life.

Work's work. Nothing interesting but I'm getting the groove back into things. Commute's brutal though. Used to take me only about 20-25 minutes to work and now that I moved, it takes me an hour and 15 minutes (on a good day). I think I should find a job closer to Scarborough/Markham area. There is one that I've been eyeing on.

Family have finalized on purchasing a property in Markham. It's at Brimley and Steeles, just a 5 minute walk down to Steeles so I don't have to pay double-fare. Closing's on November 7th. So I guess I get a new house for my birthday? Haha not like I'll be having a birthday party at the house or whatever =P.

I'll keep this short as I worked 10 hours today so I'm super tired...

Some Wedding Pictures

Thank you

Hey girls,

Thanks for the flowers and magazines. The flowers were lovely, and there are so many magazines, I haven't even had a chance to look at them yet.

I'm feeling better now, finally getting used to the drugs that I'm on. I still experience occasional headaches and nausea. I will go back to the hospital in a month for radiation to kill off any remaining cancer cells. Yeah, pretty crazy to have cancer at our age, but that's life :)

Sorry Thi, I missed your wedding. You should post some pictures so I can see what I've missed.

Church & Dwight

Update: The drive isn't that bad, about 45 minutes. They're flexible with the start time so I can get in anytime before 9 and leave whenever I feel like as long as I get my work done. My manager is AWESOME. People are also very nice, it's like a family there. Lots of things to learn and since it's Q4 everyone's super busy so there wasn't anyone available to train me so I'm just doing, learning and winging it as I go. Lots of fun.

On top of getting a new car, I now have a new job. It COULD potentially be the industry I'll make permanent residence and I have no doubt will lead into an opportunity in brand management, which is where I wanna be.

The company is, however, in Mississauga so an hour and a half of my day will be dedicated to commuting. I start on Monday, very excited!

Hyundai Elantra

Hey girls. So I guess car purchases really is a one day thing for me...I went out to another dealership and bought an Elantra. There are problems with supply right now and they can't get any of the colours that I'd like. White is my first choice.

Didn't have to negotiate too much on price because we just agreed about what is a fair profit for the dealership. He didn't charge any bogus fees so that's good. I asked him to throw in some mats and the cargo net. After the second time I asked for it, he turned to Andy and asked: "Do you ever say no to her?"

Andy: "Nope, she usually gets her way."

Sales: "You gotta start man, stick up for yourself. Well I'm not saying no to her either."

So I got the freebies. Andy proved useful for something at the end, cause he was just sitting there quietly observing the whole time...

Updates

First, very excited to see you girls at the wedding, especially Thi in her shimmering shoes.

The Car
It's being written off, discussing settlement value with the adjuster right now. The figure they quoted isn't bad but since there is wiggle room I might as well wiggle, I have the time. Kinda.

They are trying to push me into a corner though. They want me to return the rental vehicle on Friday. I ask if they really expected me to buy a vehicle in two days and they extended it to Monday. Still not sufficient if you ask me but whatever. I might have to pull out my inner bitch.

In terms of cars I'm considering Korean cars now since Japanese ones aren't working out so hot. The Hyundai Elantra and Veloster. I would totally go for the more expensive cars if I wasn't paying for this myself, but since I'm still jobless and don't have millions coming in from passive income I thought I'd be more practical.

Job Status
Speaking of joblessness. I went for an interview with Church & Dwight on Tuesday. Love the manager that interviewed me, very to the point and honest, she actually swore a couple of times! And near the end she said she wants me to meet with the VP of Sales before he flew the next day. This wasn't planned so I was freaking out while I was alone in the room.

As I was driving home the recruiter called and told me they loved me and that out of the three candidates the hiring manager only wants me to come in for the final interview with HR. I think this means I probably got the job...I dunno, can I assume this!? Shannon you were in HR, you tell me!

So yes, that's it from me. When things are down it can really be down but then things just do a 180 without any notice. So even though this has nothing to do with LGBT, as the Trevor Project would say: It gets better!
