shirbo

My weekend was full of adventures. First, let's start on Friday. I called a car deal that I found on autotraders and said I will meet at his house and I found out it was at Mississauga. -_-" But oh well, I still went with my dad and Mike's dad to check it out. It was an old Romanian man trying to sell a 2002 Honda Civic. Everything looked alright and we said we'll come back to check it out the next day when he gets everything fixed up and perfect. I went back on Saturday to test drive it with Mike and his dad and after hours of decision-making, we decided to buy it. It was going for $7300. We signed an agreement and I got all the paper that I need to bring to the Ministry. That very same night, Mike's dad told us that Mike's aunt is able to give me her 1998 Toyota Corolla for free because she will be buying a new car that same week. I was like WTF?!?! Now you tell me? She said that she didn't know that my car broke down and she can buy a new car now other than waiting until next year. That night they were teaching me how to cancel the transaction with the old man and I felt bad. I don't know why. I felt bad that I had to cancel the transaction when we all agreed on it and all after 2 days spent in Mississauga. I then called the old man to see where he's at and when he'll be home because I knew he was at a party that very same night. He told me that he's not at home and that he's at Scarborough. Those were music to my ears that night. I said I needed to see him right away and he said okay and gave me the address to the place. I made another agreement and brought it with me along with the papers. I explained to him that I had to cancel the transaction because the car had been rebuilt and my family didn't like that. I just kept on bullshitting then. He said it was alright and he wanted me to be happy and all so he didn't hesitate and just signed the new agreement. I was really relieved. Then Sunday comes. My phone rang and I was surprised to see that he was calling me. He said that he wanted to talk to me and was wondering if I can answer a few questions. It wasn't about the car because he had sold it already. This was how the conversation went:

John: How old are you?
Me: 21
John: Are you working or going to school?
Me: I'm going to school.
John: Where?
Me: At Seneca.
John: Oh okay, I want you to meet my son.
Me: What do you mean? You want to introduce your son to me?
John: You don't have to answer me now, think about it and I'll call you back later.
Me: Why do you want me to meet your son?
John: I really like you, I want my son to meet somebody like you. Think about it, you don't have to answer me now.
Me: JOHN! I have a boyfriend already. The guy that came with me the other day was my boyfriend.
John: Oh, well if you have a boyfriend then I wish you good luck.
Me: Thank you.

By this time I was thinking to myself, is this for real?!?!?!? Haha. That is the weirdest thing that I have ever happened to me. I've only seen his son once. All I knew about him was that he's a policeman (1st year) and also studying Computer Science. Well that was my weekend adventure. Now I just have alot of things to do before I can successfully change the corolla onto my mom's name (cheaper insurance). I'll try to keep on posting. =P
