Why hello ladies.
It's been a snowy winter and our dinner had to be cancelled. =(
I guess we got to take a raincheck on our date since the weather is so unexpected and it started snowing again tonight.

On the brighter side of things, I just got my marks today!
I went to sleep last night but was having a hard time falling asleep. I think it's because the marks were going to be out at 9:00am the next day and was too anxious to fall asleep. Woke up thsi morning at 9:00 and checked my marks. I got a 4.0 this semester and I got into co-op! Co-op is not mandatory and seats are limited to about 10-15 people out of the whole program of about 80 people. So getting into co-op is a big deal for me! And competition was crazy this semester, a ton of GPA 4.0 people so I was getting kind of scared.

After I checked my marks, I was able to go back to sleep! =D A big sigh of relief!

Getting a raise :)

Sooo this week my boss offered me a super raise to combine my job with sitting at the front and answering all the phone calls... lol it's actually not really a promotion.... i'm just getting a raise cuz they're changing my job responsibilities and they want to get rid of the receptionist position. 

But either way, I'm getting a 20% increase and a bus pass every month!

I'm not really sure of when this starts cuz they're planning on laying off our girl soon... *shrugs*

Oh and my new title is HR admin... which is the ideal title that i've been wishing for :) and it looks good on my resume cuz i got promoted :) in a small company where there is no room to grow if you don't want to be a recruiter.

I feel really bad about the receptionist tho... :S

Okay, finally I have the time to post something.
Although I had my reading week last week, I didn't get a chance to call you guys to get together, because I was working all week at my dental office place. Extra money right? NOT! I missed working there, even though a few coworkers left. What made my day were the patients that still remembered me!
Well anyway, then afterwards I had to study for my test and assignments were due. So I had no time whatsoever. Now I got a breather because I was let out of my lab early due to some accident yesterday (long story). I now have 3.5 hour break until my next class.
Hmm...what to say...my birthday is coming up...=P BUT I don't think I'll be doing anything because I have a million things due and I have no brainpower to think what and where to do it.
I do have a dinner planned on the 15th with my coworkers because I haven't seen them for over a year now. If you guys are free and up for it, let's go out for dinner that friday night 14th?
Let me know if you girls can make it then we'll decide where and what to do. This will also be our get together since we haven't seen each other all summer.

Anyway, I don't have any other blabblings other than the fact that SIMONE and MYA haven't been posting at all! *shakes fist*

Okay so I know you girls have been saying how I'm spontaneous and all...I wanna tell you all that as of 1:30am last night I am a single woman. As to the reason why, well I think the break up was long overdue. The feelings aren't here anymore, and last night was probably the first time that we both felt ready to just say it. When he told me he lost the feeling I was just calm, it didn't matter, guess the relationship really didn't matter much to the both of us anymore. We're still friends, actually I think I've been thinking of him as more of a best friend than a lover. So there are no hard feelings, we actually talked on the phone for 3 hours after we did the whole break-up thing. Which is weird, cause while we were dating there wasn't even a 5 minute phone conversation, let alone 3 hours. So I'm alright, I did cry a bit last night cause...I guess six years of nice memories can do that, but other than that I'm fine. No need to bash Andy and say he's a bad guy or anything, he's really not. So I wanted to keep this short but it doesn't seem like that, if you want to know more we can go out for tea/coffee/cake/ [insert food name] and catch up.

i know its been a while so i decided to also drop a line.

hmm where do i begin? well i guess first things first, Darren and i broke up..
yeah yeah i know what you girls are thinking..but its been almost 2 months now, so guess its pretty serious i wanted to mention this earlier but i alwo wanted make sure everythings official before i announced it this time.

what else.. well my brother got married back in august, the wedding was absolutely gorgeous, purple and silver theme. Everything from the flowers, center piece, to ice scuplture and wedding cake beautiful. The venue was at sangri la, and it was perfect. And so far im loving my new sis in law.. shes amazing.. i got them a 40 inch lcd tv for wedding gift and they loved it.. although it really burned a whole in my wallet.. plus my sister and i got marsha (my new sis in law) an LV purse on the side just to show her our love.

and oh..
I got a job at Sears. im a direct import sourcing coordinator.. lol what i do? i dont really know. but the interview process was pretty interesting. i had to write a 1 page recap sheet on how i felt about the two lines neveda and retreat and some recommendations on how i think they should improve. and also one of the questions in the interivew was "do you like to shop?" ! lol omg. you should have seen my reaction, my face lit up instantly.!! the job so far seems really interesting, although it isnt exactly the career path for a finance major.. more of a career path for becoming a buyer.. but for now im happy cuz i dont want to limit myself to just finance.

oh im registering to go back to school part-time at york for the winter semester...

Alright, well since Shirbo's taking some time out of her busy life to drop a line, I'll take some time out of my boring life to drop a line too.

Still looking for other employment. There's an English Editor job posting at Square-Enix. For those that don't know, it's a video game company, and a very very big one at that. It's like THE company I wanted to work for since high school, the only reason I was insane enough to consider CS as a major. Plus the other good bit is, the job is in Japan! The resume process is kinda...ugh...I have to do some creative writing. Demonstrate that I can keep a consistent tone throughout a piece while showing my fruitful knowledge of Japanese pop culture. If I can do that to a T then I'll probably get the job. Other than that, blasting out more applications, interviewing and more rejecting. The vicious cycle never ends.

Hope everyone's well. Maybe I should plan another get together some time soon...what day's good for everyone?

I haven't been actively posting, but I'm sure I'm not one of the worse ones. *ahem ahem*
Decided to swing by here when it's still early on in the day.
School's been hectic from day 1. Non-stop assignmenting and reporting. I think I won't get a breather until winter holiday comes! But I'm still loving school. I feel like I'm really experimenting with all the gadgets and stuff. Although we are getting graded on it and all. I wouldn't feel as shit if I had more than 24 hours a day and more than 7 days a week. During the summer I sleep for like 10 hours and now once school starts, I average 5 and if I'm lucky, I get to sleep for 6! What I really need right now is crazy organizational skills, and probably one more brain and 2 more arms would be perfect. 1 set to do these subject and another set to do that subject. Well can't really blab on anything else about me.

Got an offer for a badminton coaching position at Flying Dragon today. It's just a part-time thing, but it'll help me out with the debts for now.

Hi girls, i haven't updated recently because there's nothing new with me accept for work, work, work, relaxing and more work. But just want to let you guys know i'm going to Jamaica on August 30 for one week. Hello hello! How's everyone doing? I had a sudden dose of spontaneousness last night and decided that I'd fly to Vancouver this morning. But I ended up not going cause last minute flights are FREAKIN' expensive! That plus I have no place to stay so I guess I'll save that for the end of Aug or Sept.

I've officially started my job hunt today. I'm looking at some marketing positions at RIM, Konica Minolta and HP. If all goes well I'll either be moving back to Waterloo or I'll be commuting to Mississauga. With the gas prices at its insane level right now I'd actually prefer to move back to Waterloo, although that thought is depressing also.

Hey girls! So I went and picked up my car today. Everything's good and I'm getting used to it. Owning a car isn't as exciting as I thought it would be. Also, when I came home today I backed the car up into another car while I was parallel parking, so now there's a fresh new scratch/knick/semi-hole on the rear bumper. I guess stuff like this doesn't happen to most normal people who get a new car. Surprisingly I was very indifferent when it happened. I just silently said 'crap' and that was the end of that. I am still very meh about this. A car's a car, no point in getting worked up. But in case you're getting worked up for me, the next time I see any of you, I'd be happy to show you the scar. Hi girls! I'm back and I wanna see you all, we have to find a time to meet up, sooner the better. I have your souvenirs. They're all the same but the patterns are not so you can all fight over that. I'll just wrap them and give them out. There's candy for Thi since she asked for it. I also got some green tea Kit Kat bars, Andy said I can get them here...I didn't know that, but these traveled on the plane so it's different!

I spent that last 4 days crying my eyes out. I'm experiencing some reversed culture shock or something. Half of me is happy to be back though. I'm so tired right now, I'm just gonna go and pass out. Hopefully I won't be jet lagged for too long.

so i came back from my winnipeg training a few weeks ago. it was good and bad. good bcuz i had alotta fun partying with coworkers, but i'll never see them again since they are from all across canada. and i met this really cute azn guy, too bad he lives in montreal tho and too bad he has a gf. i didnt perform too well in my training school, i kept fallin asleep in class, even in front of the VP. so i got really poor evaluations from head office. my boss wasnt too happy when i got back, but i m consistently performing better now, so he's not as mad. but i dunno if i really like this job, cuz i dun feel that this is leading to the career path i had in mind.

jacky and i broke up, its been 2 months now. i broke up with him, cuz i dun think its going newhere and i dun wanan waste his or my time. we still talk, he still wants me back, its kinda complicated.

neways, other than that, nuthin really interesting is happening with me. we should get together soon, anne's bday is coming up in a few weeks. we should start planning!!

As for me, I've just been working and relaxing. But right now i'm looking into taking an esthetics program for the next 6 months. Since my mom's been longing for her own nails salon/beauty parlour but she cant do everything on her own, I figure being the eldest, why not help her out. My sisters are pretty grown now so they can also lend a hand. Who said girls were useless? They are wrong lol.

Alfred and I are great, we went on a mini shopping spree in buffalo the past long weekend, but he ended up spending more than me hmp! We've been playing a lot of poker lately, hanging with mostly couples, which was pretty strange in the beginning but now, it's like an every weekend thing, they'd call us and when we hang they'll be like 6 -8 couples at a time. We're going camping at algonguin? for july long weekend. We're also looking into planning a trip to jamaica, you girls should really consider coming! We all have a significant other! it'll be really really fun. So far, there's 10 of us for sure, anyone interested? Planning to go on the first week of Sept.

We need to get together since the weather is getting nicer!

i just wanted to let you girls know im going to varedero, cuba leaving tmr. We got last minute deals and bought tickets for a bargain! 650 for 7 days at a 4 star resort.
its my first real vacation with darren so im kinda nervous.. honestly i think i would get sick of him having to see him everyday for a full week. haha.. well we'll see what happens..

Hey girls, just thought I'd drop in and say hi since I don't really get internet all the time. I wore a kimono today! That belt thing they tie around their waist (obi) takes forever to put on, and it took 2-3 people to help me get all nicely wrapped up. Now that I think about it, I guess guys back then would find it very erotic to take off a kimono. The women really do look like nicely wrapped presents in these things. It was also very hard to walk, I couldn't move my feet in big strides, and I had to wear these slipper things (geta) that were too small and it hurt like crazy! Also very hard to breath after they tied the obi on me. But even after all that it was a very very good experience. Oh yeah, there were 6 girls there and 3 people to help with the kimono fitting so it took us a long time to get ready, the guys had to wait outside the temple since there were nothing but sliding doors to hide us.

I find when I'm in this country I'm in a very giving mood. All I can think about is getting gifts for people back home and also the people around me here. I guess it's contagious from the other students and people. I love this country, I think Kyoto is my favourite city in Japan, there are quiet places and then there's Sanjo, the shopping district which is packed with people. If I ever move to Japan, Kyoto would be where I'd want to live. I have all your presents, Shanno, you probably won't get a Mario and Yoshi plushie since everything here is made in China, and I can't find one, maybe when I get to Tokyo, I'll keep looking. Ganbarimasu! As for candy Thi, there is so much to chose from here, I don't know which to buy. I'll decide after I try them all.

SUCCESS! First day done and many more to go. Thi, Mike and I went jogging today and Mike made both Thi and I look stupid because he lapped us twice. But it was a good first day, haven't done that much in years! Next week's looking good too, nice and sunny and not as cold!

I know I haven't wrote anything here for the longest time. It's just because I don't have anything new to write about other than just sleeping in and doing nothing. I still haven't eaten yet because I'm waiting for all the other guys to wake up to go eat together. =S

While I'm waiting, I was just surfing around Facebook. I realized something. Although I have so many photos of my cat on my page (especially the big photo ones), I still can't manage to stop and look at her pictures. Every time I scroll down, I need to scroll down her pictures fast so I can pass it. I think this is because I'm still not over the fact that she's gone. If I were to look at her pictures I will definitely start tearing. As I'm writing this I'm already tearing. I gotta get off this topic, I just wanted to share that with you guys.

Hi girls, just wanted to let you all know that I've arrived safely in Japan. I'm surprisingly very calm about all this, no culture shock whatsoever as of yet. I just feels so normal to be here for some reason that the excitement that is supposed to be here is not here. Maybe once I start seeing the city everything will change. It was pouring cats and dogs yesterday once we got off the plane, quite disappointing but we were all so tired from the flight I think we didn't really care. We still braved out into the bad weather for food though. For food we will do ANYTHING! I'll upload some pictures when I get the time, it'll mostly be of the food I had, I think Anne will like that.

Okay so it seems you all not too happy with the vagueness, and actually, Shirbo, it really did seem like that. I was just gonna ask the sales person some questions and stuff and then my dad was like "so if we're planning to get it today, do you have any stock?" Next thing I know, I'm sitting in the office negotiating prices. I don't think I got THAT good a deal on it but I get a new grad discount and they took some more off so there was savings of about...$1500? Not too sure, my math skills have gone down the drain since university. Type of car is a Corolla S, the car of all Asian 'see lies'! The sales was pushing the red and blue colour on me. I wanted blue to begin with but she was basically telling me that they ONLY carry red and blue, she wasn't giving me any other choices. So that's all the details

Also, it seems my vagueness has pwned all again because you're all confused with my plans to go to Japan. I am STILL going to Japan, but only the Japanese language exchange that'll last for three weeks. The plans to teach in Japan for a year in 2009 have been canceled, well, at least postponed until further notice. I'm leaving next Monday at 8:30am and coming back June 4th at some time in the afternoon...I think...I have NO clue how to read this electronic ticket I printed off.

Also, I'm currently sick and my voice is doing funny things. This stupid sickness better go away before I see you girls on Saturday!

School's been done for a week now for me. Did nothing for the past week which makes me feel sooooooooooooo good! Haha. No assignments to worry about, tests to study for and travelling on the TTC. Stupid strike!! *shakes fist* Thank goodness the strike didn't start when I was still in school. I was looking at my bank account the other day and I realized I'm super duper broke. =( I really do need to find a job. My old job said tha they can hire me to become a floater. Which is a person that would just help out here and there because it will be busy. If that's the case then they only need me on Mondays. =S That's not enough hours or money. So I really think I need to get up my ass and find a well paying job for the summer. And for this whole week, because the weather's been so nice, I wanted to get up early and go for a jog. Didn't happen. I sleep too late to wake up nice and early when the air is still fresh. Damn why am I so lazy? I think I'm just taking this free time for granted and catching up on the sleep that I've lost during the whole school year. Man I'm blabbering so much that I don't even think I make any sense. I'm writing this posting in Mike's backyard in a lawn chair enjoying the cool breeze. Today was suppose to rain but never happened. But the downfall to this are my eyes are getting watery, sneezing and stuffed nose. I think the allergies are hitting me. =( Why can't I enjoy nice weather without feeling like crap? Haha but it's not that big of a bother....YET.

Resulting in a 4.0 GPA and an overall GPA of 3.9. Now I'm on their so-called President's Honour List. Heard that I get money or whatever? But I'm going to check that out. I was anticiapting all A+s but then I got an A for my Children's Literature course. Probably I wrote a shitty essay for my final exam. I hate writing essays but still good. I guess all my sleepless nights really do pay off in the end. =P I can't really say that until I get into the Coop course. *fingers crossed* As for Mike, well he didn't have splendid marks but he is still able to graduate. Just that right now he needs to find a job for his coop course. But his stupid coop coordinator's not helping him. =S He's on his own for this but atleast he graduated. (or will be able to graduate in August after his coop term)

I think that's a long enough post for you girls to be filled in with my life. For now. I think that makes up for the missed posts during my busy times. =) I would love to ask you girls to go out but I'm absolutely so broke that I can't even eat out. =( And as for Thi, I'm saving for your birthday so you better do something! Hi girls, how's everyone doing? I just wanted to update everyone with what's happening in my boring life. I'll be moving back to Toronto for good in May, but since I'm taking a night class at the school I'll have to commute back to Waterloo on Monday nights, which means...I'm currently shopping for a car. Most likely it'll be a Honda Civic since I don't want to spend too much money. I'm also looking for a job in Toronto right now, graduation is approaching fast and I have no idea what I'm gonna do afterwards so it's depressing just thinking about it. I won't be going back to Japan to teaching until the summer of 2009 so I don't want to be bumming around my parents' house with no income, it's just so sad thinking about it.

hello ladies,

alotta things happened in the past few weeks for me. i started to really like my job (the old one) cuz i got to contribute alot to my company and i got to play jits everyday at work. i felt very useful and proud, cuz i attend senior management meetings, where one VP asked me for suggestions, and then some of the directors actually agreed with me. On my last day at work, my department took me out for lunch and drinks after work, and they bought me a diamond necklace and braclet as a farewell present. so, i was really touched, and i really miss them. i think i was just unappreciative b4, and i kept complaining about work for no reason.

i bought a new car yesterday!! 2008 mazda 3 GS. i'm financing it for 5 yrs, i dunno how i'm gonna afford my monthly payments, since i still gotta pay osap and rent to my parents. so i've been really stresed out about muney these days.

i start work this munday, i'm excited and nervous. i hope i'll do well and succeed in my new job. i hope u r all doing well too with work/school.

heres just a little update. Darren and i were having some trouble, but we still really like eachother so we're trying our best to work things out. As for school im graduating this spring (if i pass everything) so im really excited. i'll let you girls know the date of my convocation later on if any of you are interested in attending.. if not thats okay because i know its going to be super boring. haha. school is getting a little hectic, im taking 6 courses and im doing okay. bus800 was my biggest worry but up to this point im actually getting an A so im happy.

So I was talking to someone from upper management today while I was getting my cup of tea in the morning. He made a pun and I wasn't sure how to respond so I just smiled and said 'nice'. Guess it wasn't the response he was expecting, cause he thought I didn't understand and started to explain the pun! I suck at this socializing business. The occupation I take in the future should definitely be something that requires limited contact with the outside world. Maybe a writer...me, pen, and paper.

Hello all,
i just got a new job! product marketing specialist position at the great west life, its a pre-management position, and i get to develop mkt packages for finance and present them to clients. so hopefully, i will enjoy this new role and company. i will be going to winnipeg soon for 3 week training, i'm really excited about that.
it was really hard to tell my boss today bcuz we're going through a major orgzanizational change, and i was promoted again to another role and have an assistant to help me out now. so i felt like i was disappointing them, cuz they were giving me this opportunity, and i'm leaving them all of a sudden.
neways, i think we should all go out and have a drink or two, and relax and forget about our problems and guys.

Hi girls, how's everyone doing? I can't believe it's March already. Only two more months until I'm done with coop and off to Japan! I find it kind of amusing how I've already spent two months here at my workplace and STILL haven't done anything out of the ordinary. Yup it's been a boring life lately. All these events that have been happening in February wasn't the greatest. It was just plain 'bleh'. Especially this long weekend that we're having. I thought the first Family Day Long weekend would be a good one but then the whole weekend is contributed to studying! I have 3 mid-terms going on this week so I'm swamped! =( But after this week it's going to be reading week for me.

Hello girls, I have something to tell you, I'm sure you'll all be very proud of me and maybe shocked. I wore heels to work today...

I thought I'd practice walking in them since I'll try to wear them for Saturday when we go to dinner. Being a restaurant that we have to dress up for an such (grr).

So I'm having trouble walking, I take them off when I'm sitting at my cubicle. My calves are cramping up just from sitting here with them on. This is hell'a painful. I seriously believe that all females on the face of this planet who wear heels and enjoy it are masochists to some degree. To further prove this point. The girls here at the office are telling me to just "let the shoe cut [me]." They promise the the cuts will heal and then everything will be fine. They might as well say "just let that guy with the knife come and stab you, it'll be fine after it heals."

There is ONE good thing that's coming out from all of this. They said that since I'm wearing these shoes all day today, I won't be able to wear them on Saturday cause my feet will hurt too much. Sooooo...maybe I'll just wear my ugly old boots on Saturday, I have battle scars to cover up after all =P

hey hey, nuthing's new with me. i'm still working at the same place, still not liking it. i am lookin for a new job, but dun really see nething i like.

i pulled out my wisdom teeth a few weeks ago, and i got really sick and i lost like almost 10 pounds, which really suck cuz i've been trying to gain 20 pounds.

oo sumthin interesting did happen... i was on cbc news for an interview. u know how sum guy got shot in chinatown. well i went to chinatown one day to see a doctor, and then i dropped off sum muney in the donation box for the guy, and then this lady approached me and asked if i can do an interview for cbc news. at first, i thought she was just goin to take notes on wat i was gonna say, so i agreed to do the interview. then later i realized there was a camera. well, i didnt watch cbc news that day cuz i didnt wanna see myself, but my dad said he saw me.

Hi girls. Glad to hear that everyone is doing well. Again I'm sitting at work right now with nothing to do. I just wanted to share something that I found kind of amusing.

I found out yesterday, that my Japanese teacher of 2+ years thought I was Japanese Canadian all this time. If she even bothered to look at my grades she'd know that there is no way I could be Japanese.
My new TA also thought I was Japanese, even though I was struggling like crazy with the readings yesterday. They're all getting pwned by my last name! LOL.

In other news. I've decided to do an exchange for about a month to Japan with the University of Kyoto. This is going to take place in mid May and will go on until the beginning of June. I'm just trying to work my school schedule around it and also to save up money for it. So if it DOES go through...sorry Thi, I won't be here for your birthday, but I'll pick up something for you in Japan.

Hello Ladies, it has been awhile since i've been on here. No, I haven't forgotten about you guys. I wrote something 2 days ago but the same thing happened to Shirley happened to me so i was too lazy to rewrite everything.

2008 really hitted off with a Bang! I've been sooo busy the last couple weeks of December 07 and it really dragged on. Suprisingly so many ppl are born in January. I am B R O K E! I suprised Alfred with a PS3 and 3 games for Christmas/birthday, since Christmas is so close to his birthday, and i'm poor. We just got back from Niagra Falls. We went there for the weekend for a friend's birthday. First time clubbing there (Drangonfly). It's such a white area but the club's theme is so Japanese. Next week we'll be heading up to Blue Mountain. We rented a chalet there, also for a friend's birthday, and I'll probably try snowboarding for the first time even though it's going to be my fourth times up at the chalet. Beginning of Feb is my sister's birthday and we're going to the states to do some shopping. End of Feb will be another friend's birthday and we're also going up to the chalet again....Already i am having a heart attack thinking about all those upcoming birthdays.

Anne, congrats on passing the G, you're a good driver, believe in yourself. As for me...i have to take driving school because alfred bought a car for me to drive so i have no more excuses to procrastinate... YAY me lol! wish me luck.
