Seto & Shanno

Shanno and I went on an adventure today. She too lazy to document our epic story so I will do the honours.

I was really tired from the badminton tournament yesterday so I e-mailed in sick. As a result, I had the whole day to do whatever the hell I wanted. Shanno and I had lunch plans that we agreed on from last week so we were gonna go ahead with that. Of course when there's a decision to be made about where to go for lunch the typical result is neither of us can come up with anything. Finally decided to go to Danforth and just decide from there but at Pape station I was suddenly attacked by a pork bone soup craving so we decided to head for Korea town. Went to Night Owl or whatever that place is called and had some good Korean food.

We were also supposed to meet Shanno's friend to give him money for the Phantom tickets so that was supposed to be our next destination. But I need to find another keychain and a new phone strap so we decided to just walk long Danforth to Spadina. That's where everything kinda went wrong! When we got to Spadina, Shanno - with her great sense of direction - turned us north on Spadina instead of south, and I - lacking my sense of direction at the moment - didn't see anything wrong with it. We kept walking and soon passed a sign that read "Casa Loma". By that time it really should've clicked in my head that we were heading the wrong direction but the only thing that went through my head was: "Casa Loma, haven't been there in a while." We continued on our way and soon reached Dupont station, as we were standing there waiting for the lights Shanno just casually comment, "Hey look we're at Dupont already." Still, nothing clicked! The towers of Casa Loma is in sight now, and then it hit me, "Shouldn't we have went the other direction???" We pause for a moment and then Shanno said we should head back then since we were going the wrong way. But I thought since we're so close to Casa Loma and Shanno hasn't been there before, might as well go all the way there and see if we can walk around the castle for free.

We had to stop in the middle of the climb up the stairs that led up to the top of the hill because we realized we're just too old for this sort of activity. Stair climbing is only for the young! To shorten the story a little, we made it up to the top alive and got to the courtyard. It costs $16.75 for each of us to get in, we weren't that desperate so we just sat outside at the fountain, which had no water in it! That was pretty disappointing.

After we'd rested enough at the disappointingly dry fountain, we arrived at our destination of Rye U by riding the rocket. We each came out $75.50 poorer and went off to Eaton's to do some shopping. But since we were so poor already we only looked and didn't buy.

So that concludes the epic adventure of Seto and Shanno.
