so i've been really stressed and worried about school and work. the course i think i failed is not offered in the spring or summer, and i need that course to graduate and complete my finance minor. finance courses are only offered in fall, but then that means i wont graduate til 2008, and i really dun want that. i could take another non-finance course in the summer, but that means i wouldnt have a finance minor, i would just graduate in fall 2007 with no minor at all. and all the time spent on completing a finance minor would b wasted.
i've had 3 interviews with 3 companies, i dun like 2 of them cuz its shit pay. and the other one is with Ikea, but it's a manager in training position, which means floor mgr. i feel alotta pressure from family, bcuz they expect me to find a good job thats comparable to my brother's. my bro is graduating same time as me, and he already found a job last september. he's going to work for JP Morgan, in New York Wall Street, making $130, 000 US + bonus. my relatives already think i'm stupid cuz i goto ryerson, and if i get a low pay job, they would think i'm retarded. i hate them all, and i want to get a good job to shut them up, but seems so hard to find a job i like and that pays well.

i hate how asian parents expect so much from you. they always compare you to other kids or family friends kids.
it's hard to find a job that makes 130,000 annually but you should just find a job that you like. if you like what your doing then chances are you'll be really good at it so it's easy to excel quickly then you'll be making lots of money in no time.
your so bright simone..sometimes we just have to ignore what others are saying.. see, this is why people move out of their home at our age.. so they don't have to hear this bullshit from their parents and get judged.
oh..that was me

Yeah, Tee's right, just find something you like and take all the time you want. Who cares what the family says, it's your life not theirs. Of course, easier said than done, so just try your best. Everyone gets points for trying.
oh simone..you've been sucked in so badly by the typical asian parents pressure...it is so unhealthy for you...you've got to live your own life and be happy about it, your parents will eventually realize what's best for you because you may lead a miserable life by doing what they want you to do & they'll see it...my parents realized it the hard way...having me rebel against them so badly that they hated me, now we're like the best of friends because they are finally understanding...people tend to learn from the negatives that arises...i'm sure you'll be able to sort out what's best for you

Hey simone
i agree with tee, it's time to breakaway, cuz your parents and relatives aren't living your life. You are. Find a job that you like, because u're going to be there everyday for a while. Also, if your parents really bother you, maybe it is time to move out and be independent =)
